The Trebel Energy Team is present and
at work during the COVID-19 crisis. Our top priority during this epidemic is
everyone’s safety & health, which includes customers, employees, and
business partners. We are in compliance with all restrictions and advisories
issued by the state. Trebel is very focused and determined to keep on track
with all energy-related services, as well as keeping our customers well
informed about the changes occurring during this time. We will continue to work
and monitor all aggregation programs during these difficult times.
According to a Public
Utilities Commission of Ohio statement made on March 20th, 2020, distribution utilities have
been directed to suspend all in-person meter readings, which includes electric,
natural gas, water, and wastewater distribution utilities. Furthermore, the
issuing order made by the PUCO deems it necessary to continue functions that
allow the initiation of new service and continuity of service during this
time.
Many utilities (including AEP, DUKE, DP&L , Ohio Edison, and Columbia
Gas of Ohio) are hard at work ensuring Ohio customers receive and continue
receiving service during this time by suspending disconnections due to
non-payment. These companies are also taking care of their own employees by
monitoring/minimizing work activities for only essential duties and by allowing
many to work from home. To learn more about how each utility is responding to
this epidemic, please click on each link above.
Nevertheless,
Trebel does
not fall short of practicing employee safety as well. All our employees are
working tirelessly from home during this “stay-at-home” order
to answer all questions via telephone or e-mail. You can reach us at
